How to learn German with your UK Netflix account

One of the most important parts of learning or maintaining a language is hearing people speak it. If you have a Netflix account, a simple trick can grant access to German audio and subtitles for a range of films and TV shows.

While watching Netflix, you may have noticed that various languages are available on some shows and films. Although German is often not included in the list available to users based in the UK, you can access German audio and subtitles for all of Netflix’s own productions and host of others on the streaming platform by doing the following:

1. Open the Netflix app and head over to the ‘More’ section. Select ‘Account’ and you’ll be taken to an overview of your settings in your browser.

2. Scroll down to the ‘My Profile’ section. Select ‘Language’, then ‘German’, then ‘Save’.
